Skulls, Webs and Crosses: The Art on Our Merch

· Merch & Style

Our songs have always dealt with the occult, witchcraft and horror films, so it's no surprise our merch looks the way it does. Here's a guide to the art you'll find in the shop.

What do our designs look like?

Mostly black-and-white ink with a single hot accent, the way an old horror poster or a hand-cut flyer looks. A few things come back again and again.

Which motifs will you see?

Skulls: the oldest symbol in doom, and on more than one of our designs.

Crosses: drawn sharp and stark, part of the occult language our records speak.

Spiders and webs: one design is a round I HATE badge with a skull, a cross, a spider and a web with dripping edges, finished in blood red.

Hand-drawn lettering: flame-like, uneven, made by hand rather than typed.

Figures and skulls: posterised art of a figure holding a skull over a pale web, in pink tones.

Front or back?

Some designs sit on the front only, and some carry a second design on the back. Each product page tells you what's on the front and what's on the back, so you know exactly what you're getting.

Black or white?

Every design comes on black and on white. Pale, near-white art reads best on black; dark ink stands out on white. Look at the product photos for each colour before you choose.

Where do I find them?

All of them are in the shop, on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies, with kids' and youth sizes too.
